While we stand
Heart to heart
And hand in hand
Well, it's a busy day. Crown rack of lamb last night for Christmas Eve dinner, which June and I thought was fabulous but which the kids turned up their noses at. Sarah actually asked for a hamburger. Next year, back to roast beef. Trolls. Then, for the first time in years, Midnight Mass.
A late night made for a late morning, the latest in memory. Tracey was first up (of the kids, I still have some pride) at 9:40. We've pretty much been trashing the place since then. Eggs Benedict for breakfast. The turkey is in the oven. The wrappings are still all over the floor, Kobe and Shaq are on TV, and then it's into the spa to reaffirm our Californianess. Then a run, and it's time to eat again. Christmas is a tough day.
